Many sites were evaluated during the due diligence process and this location made the most sense due to it’s size, proximity to every major transit line in the city, surrounding retail, restaurants, bars and hotels, the commercial availability of the site and the ability to revitalize a section of East Market Street that has been struggling for decades.
The arena is being developed by 76DevCo, a partnership between 76ers Managing Partners Josh Harris and David Blitzer and Philadelphia Business Leader David Adelman.
